Corpus Christi Law School

Ever mindful of stealthy encroachment, we learn to recognize modern day instruments of oppression. 1: We conduct ourselves as if we were in a class room at law school. 2: We develop tactics for dealing with those problems that define our age - like traffic tickets handed out by a camera. 3: We fight oppression. 4: We learn to write and file effective papers. 5: We sue those government oppressors, such as traffic cops and fake judges, who put a damper on freedom. 6: We use what is best from the "patriot movement". We seek authoritative patriot stuff. 7: We expose frauds - particularly uneducated book sellers in the patriot movement. 8: We urge people to take responsibility for their own litigation. 9: We provide proven successful examples, help at the beginning, and . . .. a group of lawyers and other bright folks who are doing the same thing! Our tactics: #1: The ancient and venerable Demurrer! #2 Law of void judgments: #3 42 USC 1983 #4: Guerilla Lawfare; #5 Aggressive Patriot litigation, #6: Ancient Writs #7: Persistent paper pushing. . We should never reject the cause of the oppressed and defenseless. Please see my top ten page to get an idea of the subjects that we discuss: http://www.lawyerdude.8m.com/5459.html We discuss driving rights, patriot theories, litigation, oppression, and remedies. If you want help with a legal problem please tell us the facts in a brief chronology and list of players (judge, lawyers, parties, witnesses) with phone number/addresses. Please clip your posts. Lawyers and experts: Please spell check and provide substantiation (case or statute)if possible. LAW SCHOOL IN SOUTH TEXAS

LAW SCHOOL IN SOUTH TEXAS
Posted on March 29, 2008 at 07:22:15 PM by El Javelina

I am about to provide you information that is not well known to our current legislators. This information is hard won through tedious and meticulous research that would tire even a so called mega attorney. The information was gained through will and passion. It was gained because I really care about this issue and the future of the South Texas area.

1. Land, a worthy structure, and finances were once bequeathed (willed) by a King Ranch blood heir to the creation of a law school in Corpus Christi. This information can be discovered through a deed search at the Nueces County Clerk's Office. One can find this out using the various names of past deceased King Ranch family members.

2. The conveyance stipulated that the property be used to create a law school for the Texas A&M University System.

3. Texas Tech University School of Law was stopped from putting a satellite law school in South Texas because of political oppressors giving biased testimony at a State hearing concerning this issue.

4. Texas A&M University has had everything they needed to make this happen for years and sat on it.

5. Texas Tech University is currently willing to put a law school in Corpus Christi Texas as soon as possible, but is hindered by lack of coordination, political support, and interference from the University of Texas and the Texas A&M System.

6. Let it be known now, before anyone else can jump on the bandwagon and take credit to sustain ill-guided egotistical aspirations, that a law school is within reach. All that is needed now is cooperation.

The old Court House building is not a viable spot according to reports. That whole campain to put a law school there was not realistic. However, the King Ranch grant is a substantially more effective solutions.

Details and specifics coming later. You heard it here first.

Nueces De La Parra: Nobody kicked Joe Elizondo off of the CCREDC Board. He was inebriated and "with" females not his wife. Ask Denise about the "Bachelorettes' dancing w/ her hubby?

If the situation was reversed I would definitely be the bad guy. Maybe I should go yell at Juan's next event "WHO GIVES A F//K" and chant the CCREDC mantra Chorus. "JUAN MORE" "JUAN MORE" and ask him if he remembers? Juan must be held to a higher standard. Keep the reigns tight on him and everytime he starts to veer byte his a$$.

LOL

Joe Elizondo, surely he is a gentle man and a member of our leadership INFRASTRUCTURE? However, there must be HOUSECLEANING and the "Pulling of Weeds" that poisons us from the Top Down.

Elizondo began chanting JUAN MORE, JUAN MORE over and over (increasing in menacing heckle tone). Everyone ignored him so he continued with the JUAN MORE, JUAN MORE escalation. Then the Guitar Guy with the HAt "straight off of the sunset strip" was suggesting songs (lead ins). Elizondo yelled, "WHO GIVES A FUCK" and some other MINUTIA (uncalled for). He was directing his disrespect at the stage. My wife & I at the same time said, "HEY" and we turned to him with a meeting of the eyes. His group separated and Elizondo departed in a new truck. The others with him were friendly & charming before and after.

Establish a law school in Corpus Christi

New ideas for the old Nueces Courthouse

One developer's idea: Make it a law school

By Beth Wilson Caller-Times
April 3, 2007

The site of many historic courtroom battles could become a training ground for lawyers and judges of the future under a local developer's plans to turn the old Nueces County Courthouse, which was completed in 1914, into a law school.

Dan Judson, of Judson Partners, said the idea is just conceptual, and future studies would determine the best use for the building that has been vacant since 1977.

"We know the county doesn't have the funds or any real desire to do this," he said. "We're looking at it as a purely private venture. We buy the building and we fix it up."

Judson has not formalized plans to establish a law school in Corpus Christi, nor has he gotten a commitment from an existing school to open a campus here.

Commissioners will consider Judson's plan during a presentation Wednesday.

Commissioner Peggy Banales put the item on the commissioners' agenda.

Judson, owner of Ocean Drive Marina, has presented reuse plans to the city for Memorial Coliseum, including such ideas as an indoor market and restaurant and placing the Columbus ships under its green roof.

The city recently announced its plans with another developer to bring an amusement park to the bayfront site had fallen through.

If the county is interested in selling the building, Judson said his group and investors would determine what should be in the building and bring in the money to make that happen. He estimates renovations could cost between $9 million and $11 million.

The old courthouse, near the Harbor Bridge, received a $2.85 million exterior renovation of its south wing last year.

"The courthouse is a very beloved building by a lot of people, but in so being beloved, there are still issues we need to be aware of," she said. "And we don't want to use taxpayer money, if we can help it, to do what we need to do."

Banales said she'd like to see the courthouse keep its historical credibility and be useable. That could then stimulate economic growth for the downtown area, which is in her precinct, she said.

County Judge Loyd Neal said the county has been committed to spending money on the fairgrounds complex in Robstown and will have to consider other capital needs, like repairs to the jail and the occupied courthouse, as it goes into the next budget cycle.

"I've said all along I have no desire to put any more taxpayer dollars into the (1914) courthouse," he said.

The building can't be demolished until 2025 because of a deed restriction placed on the building when the county accepted grants from the Texas Historical Commission. The commission also prohibits any exterior changes, and would likely be involved in any reuse plans.

Commissioner Chuck Cazalas agreed that taxpayers shouldn't foot the bill for restoration, and said the county should find a private sector partner for the project.

"If it turns from an eyesore into an asset for the community, than I would be 100 percent behind it," he said.

Commissioners Oscar Ortiz and Betty Jean Longoria said they are open to ideas for the old building, and may consider putting in some county funds.

"Right now as it's sitting there, it's just deteriorating, so we need to at least be open to any suggestions," Ortiz said.

Community donations and county funds provided the local match of $950,000 for the $2.85 million renovation that was completed last year.

In 2005, commissioners declined to put up $1.76 million to match state grant funds to continue renovation. Cost for complete restoration has been estimated atas much as $30 million.

The latest plan called for turning the building into a science and technology museum, but funding for the idea never materialized.

Review: Texas Monthly Article OK but Needs some Hot Sauce

Posted on September 2, 2004 at 05:21:59 AM by Jaime

First of all I must commend the Texas Monthly writer Gary Cartwright for the extensive research into the history and truth of the saga. He told the old story of Sarita, Brother Leo, Peter Grace, and remained mundane with the respect to the Vatican and Catholic Church. I learned from his article of an encounter between Grandmother, Daughter in law, and Grand daughter / "illegitimate child". Although the age of Matilde is probably around 14 years old; Cartwright estimated her at 18 years old when the encounter occurred(1940). Marie Stella Turcotte Kenedy, Matilde's Paternal Grandmother (John G Kenedy Jr. & Sarita's Mother) is hospitalized at Spohn Hospital. Matilde was a volunteer working on the floor where Marie Stella was dying. At several different times she introduced Matilde to Johnny and Sarita. Then one day she introduced Matilde to Johnny's wife Elena Suess Kenedy. The article goes into the life of Maria Rowland. It describes how Ray Fernandez tracked down Maria's brother, Daniel Rowland and after considerable prompting confessed the family secret. He talks of a time when he and Tom Goates (a Corpus Christi Detective who was Maria's second husband) both knew that Matilde's father was John G Kenedy Jr. "But they never discussed it with other family members". Cartwright goes on to mention the sworn affidavit of Daniel Rowland. In the Affidavit Matilde's brother explained, " We were frightened of what the Kenedy family might do. We wanted to protect (Maria's) reputation.... South Texas was a much different place in the thirties and forties for working-class Mexican Americans. Those with money and large ranches made the rules." He recalled a day going with Goates to La Parra to ask for money from Johnny Kenedy. Daniel waited in the truck while Goates went into the house. Goates returned with a stuffed envelope. This in itself demonstrates the nature of Johnny to Maria and Matilde regarding the issue of inclusion in the Will. Johnny wanted to give to Matilde, the mother of his child as well as her husband Tom Goates. The article also conveys the shock and dis-belief Matilde and Ray exhibited upon discovery of the secret. Matilde was shown the video of her uncle's (Daniel Rowland) conversation with her son. Her confusion is tantamount to the fact that she never new Johnny was her biological father. She remembered first meeting Johnny at the hospital. She later recalled Johnny had brought her fruit baskets and dolls at Christmas time when she was much younger. Matilde also remembered sitting on Marie Stella's lap at the mansion and that Johnny's mother had once talked of sending her to a convent to be a Nun. The article allowed Ray Fernandez to explain his reasons for the litigation and the origins of a cause that has become much more than the land, oil uranium or riches involved. Although the article is redeeming and revealing; I must question why the author did not come out and rebuke the Vatican, the Catholic Church and KFATSO for thier audacious transgressions epitomizing the very oppression Tom Goates mentions. It is still going on. I also question Texas Monthly as to why Dr. Fernandez is not on the cover of the issue. His heritage has ascended to the Texas Supreme Court and will be front page worthy in the future. I guess they had thier chance? Also it concerns me that the article is placed in the middle of the magazine when it demands priority. It seems it was written to appease the Fernandez cause rather than exposing the true opposition. The author tiptoed the line and may have overstepped by telling us too much. I challenge him to do another article on the Fernandez cause, what and who it represents, and how the opposition to the cause is corrupt, oppressive and elitist. Tell us the "rest of the story" this time

Power stronger than blood
Power is stronger than either blood or the truth. Why is it that a claim to the Kenedy estate is blocked again and again?
District Judge J. Manuel Banales refused to lift a temporary restraining order Wednesday in a case that seeks to reopen the estate of South Texas rancher John G. Kenedy Jr. Banales had issued the order Friday to block attorneys from taking action in any other courts. Attorneys have said they would like to have the case transferred to a probate court in Austin. For more than four years, Nueces County Medical Examiner Ray Fernandez has sought to prove that his mother, Ann, is Kenedy's biological daughter. Part of his legal battle has focused on reopening Kenedy's estate. In a separate move, Fernandez also has sought to have Kenedy's body exhumed to obtain a DNA sample that could prove a relation. The Texas Supreme Court is considering whether to let stand a lower court's ruling to allow the exhumation. Does that seem right to you?

Ray Fernandez & his wifey Marie are not in it for the Blood relation. As I understand they have been offered 20 million to settle. I found DNA that proves not only Ann Matilde is Johnny's daughter but in fact there are other heirs as well.If they would have remained loyal to the ones who opened the doors (really kicked down the doors) like El Defenzor, my wife & myself then they would not be having these problems. 10 million has been alotted for exclusive expenditure by the high dollar attorneys and super lawyers. These guys are spending it real fast. For a look into the advocacy and the plight of the Fernandez Cause one can visit kenedyranch.netAlso there is the suspicious death of Catherine D Unger still under investigation. Catherine was aware of the other outstanding heirs as well. This means Ann is not the sole heir as court documents claim.Another thing might be Marie Fernandez' inept attempts at staining the image of the Judge Manuel Banales. She calls herself many names but in her feeble attempts to smear a sitting Judge she is afraid of she calls herself the Coroner's wife. She also claims "if she has a dream you are going to die then you are going to die" .These people do not deserve Justice for Ann as Ann will never realize it. The Fernandez' never even had anything to do with Ann until they learned of the Blood relationship.Ray Fernandez is a puppet of his wife Marie Nelly Mae Stacy Fernandez and she is the definition of a gold digger.

The Fernandez' already have the DNA proving Ann is John G Kenedy's daughter. They want lots and lots of Dinero. It is not about family or blood relation as Fernandez Claims it is all about lots and lots of money. One would think $20 million would suffice and ya lets move on with life but nooooooo. Marie Fernandez will not stop until she is the Cavrona Patrona of no one and Queen Oppressor of all.I know these people like the back of my hand. They are not good people while Marie is controlling the ME!Ray himself is not a bad guy but his heart follows a no good woman's greed. MARIE HAS NOW EMPLOYED THE BLACK ARTS IN THE QUEST.

Why do they need to exhume the body for DNA, then, if they already have it?
At 4:33 PM, Jaime Kenedeño said...
They have this DNA as an ACE card. Both sides are forum shopping.I found Johnny's DNA on a stamp from title (land transfer) to Jaime Waters. If they dig up the body it still will not prove conclusively without confirmation of Sarita or John Sr or Marie Stella. Also, Marie Fernandez swiped medical records and court documents that can never be official; but does prove TO THEM that they have a legitimate fight. The expedient Attorneys are not expedient for their client in this case. They have 10 million to suck dry first.Marie Fernandez does not want anybody to share the pot of gold as in contingency but Surprise Craig Smith already does!

SARITA, Texas -- A judge ruled Monday against a Corpus Christi man who wanted to contest the estate of a wealthy rancher he believes was his grandfather.
"This court affirmatively believes in the finality of judgment," state District Judge Manuel Banales said, deciding in favor of two charitable organizations that control the Kenedy Ranch, which has assets estimated at up to $1 billion.
Ray Fernandez, who believes his mother, Ann Fernandez, was the illegitimate daughter and sole heir of South Texas rancher John Kenedy, is waiting for the state Supreme Court to decide whether he can exhume Kenedy's body.
Banales' ruling defeats Fernandez's attempt in probate court in Austin to reopen the Kenedy estate, but Fernandez says he will appeal.
Kenedy was said to be sterile because of a childhood illness.
Lawyers for the two charitable trusts that control the estate each filed a motion to block Fernandez, who is the Nueces County medical examiner.
"The fact of the matter, judge, is it is too late, too late. This action was filed almost 15 years after the estate had been litigated, after the estate had been closed," Jorge Rangel told Banales. "This comes too late regardless of what is determined by DNA."
Marcos Ronquillo, attorney for the Fernandezes, argued that the Fernandezes did not know until May 2000 that they might be Kenedy descendants and couldn't fight for an inheritance when the estate was settled after years of litigation in 1987.
Kenedy's wife, Elena Kenedy, and his sister, Sarita Kenedy East, used their share of the 400,000-acre, oil-rich Kenedy Ranch holdings to support various Roman Catholic charities. John Kenedy died in Mexico in 1948.
Fernandez's suspicions about his heritage began when his grandmother, Maria Rowland Goates made a deathbed statement that he "looked like his grandfather, Johnny Kenedy."
Fernandez learned that John Kenedy had owned the ranch about 40 miles south of Corpus Christi where his grandmother had worked as a maid in her teen years. He noticed an uncanny resemblance when he saw a picture of Kenedy.
A DNA sample taken from dried saliva on an old envelope showed enough of a match between Ann Fernandez and some Kenedy relatives for Austin Probate Judge Guy Herman in 2004 to order the exhumation.
The Kenedy family settled the desolate stretch of coastal desert more than a century ago.
Kenedy's grandfather, Mifflin Kenedy, the son of Pennsylvania Quakers, made a career on riverboats and helped transport troops to the Rio Grande during the Mexican War. In 1850, he formed a riverboat partnership with Capt. Richard King, namesake of nearby Kingsville.
The family openly lamented that Kenedy and his sister, Sarita, were sterile and unable to carry on the lineage that ruled the ranch for decades.
Ann Fernandez, now 82, said in an 2002 affidavit that she had suspected Kenedy was her father as early as the 1940s, when he used to drive her to work at a Corpus Christi hospital.
Ann Fernandez has been too ill to take active part in the legal battle. She appeared in court for the first time Monday, prompting the proceedings to be moved to a building that could accommodate her wheelchair.
Ray Fernandez said the ruling Monday would likely be appealed.
"I have an obligation to my mother to work on this," he said. "It's not a matter of destroying charities, it's a matter of justice for my mom."

Ask us? We know, "We're From Here"!

ARMSTRONG - In the brush country south of Sarita, a few miles east of U.S. Highway 77, sophistication and political power have mixed with the independence of Texas pioneers. Here, 6-foot-4-inch Tobin Armstrong, the descendant of a Texas Ranger and a Yale scholar, and the petite brunette, Anne Armstrong, former U.S. ambassador to Great Britain, hold court. Guests at the 50,000-acre ranch have included former president George Bush; his son and presidential candidate Gov. George W. Bush, the Rockefellers and Prince Charles. Armstrong Ranch still is an old-fashioned Texas ranch, run by Tobin Armstrong, who oversees it by Suburban and mobile telephone. A colony of cowboys who live in houses surrounding the big house work the 2,500 Santa Gertrudis cattle while riding thoroughbred horses, the Armstrong version of cow ponies. ""One of the best things about this ranch is that it is a grandchild magnet,"" said Tobin Armstrong, who has five children and 12 grandchildren, who visit the ranch frequently. The Armstrong Ranch was purchased in 1852 and settled in 1882 by John Armstrong III, a Texas Ranger from Tennessee. He had come to South Texas to clean up the border and became famous for capturing the notorious outlaw John Wesley Hardin. His sons combined the sophistication of an East Coast education with the ruggedness of a ranch upbringing. Charlie Armstrong, Tobin Armstrong''s father, graduated from Yale in 1908 and returned to South Texas to manage the ranch. Charlie''s brother, Tom Armstrong, graduated from Princeton and Harvard Law School before going to work as an executive for Standard Oil Co. The Armstrongs were instrumental in bringing polo to South Texas, and when Prince Charles came to visit, Tobin arranged a match for him on the ranch''s polo field. ""I never rode a bought horse,"" Armstrong said. ""I raised and trained my own thoroughbreds."" Tobin Armstrong was tutored at home until he was 9, when he was sent to private school in San Antonio. He attended the University of Texas and Texas A&M University. Ties between the Armstrong Ranch and the King Ranch always have been close. Tobin''s older brother, John Armstrong, married the King Ranch''s Henrietta Kleberg, and his uncle, Tom, married her mother, Henrietta Kleberg Larkin. John Armstrong was the last family member to serve as president of the King Ranch. Despite the international circles in which they move, the Armstrongs are still ranchers to the core, talking of weather and rainfall as readily as business and politics. ""Look how green the grass is,'''' Anne Armstrong said on a recent hot day. ""We haven''t had it like this for several years. It will be good for the cattle.""
